Food Safety

Congratulations! You deal with food preparation either in a staff supervisory role or, handle food in a commercial setting, and understand how important it is to understand and appreciate the importance of food safety.

There are over 5 million cases each year of gastroenteritis food poisoning caused by contaminated food. The food that makes us sick most often appears normal in looks, smell and taste.

Most food poisoning is easy to prevent, so it’s alarming the statistics are still so high. By completing a food safety course, you are demonstrating your understanding of the importance of safe food preparation, are taking your role seriously, and are supporting the cause in the fight against food poisoning.
