Connect with your community
TLC considers itself part of many communities. The communities in which we provide training for, the community that focuses on training and employment outcomes, the community in which we live, our own team and our families, and above all, are proud to be part of this beautiful country and love its people.
If you want to reach out to your community, or to the Australian people, we have ideas and can create opportunity.
- Fundraising - need a hand with fundraising, an open day or end of year event? Whether it be catered around a special theme, a trivia night, a charity fundraising activity or a song and dance evening –TLC has an abundance of energy, a pool of ideas, a big heart, and we sure know how to party! We are committed to helping others and have a special interest in the fight against cancer. If you need an idea, or our support, give us a call.
- Employment Panel – TLC is an Employment Panel Member following a successful tender with DEEWR (Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations). The new Indigenous Employment Program panel arrangements started on 1 July 2009 and will deliver a broad range of projects suited to local community circumstances, focusing on achieving the best employment outcomes for Indigenous job seekers. The Employment Panel will equip employers with the skills, knowledge and expertise necessary to provide sustainable employment opportunities and will prepare Indigenous Australians to take up employment opportunities, stay in jobs and enhance their future employment. For more information visit http://www.workplace.gov.au/ and stay tuned to our website for any program details.
- Indigenous Employment Programs – The staff at TLC have experience in working with various employers and providing them with job ready, enthusiastic, Indigenous Australians keen to gain a career in a community services industry. We will continue to seek opportunity in this area and will advertise new programs on our website. In the meantime, whether you are an employer or an Indigenous Australian looking for work, send us your details should you be interested in participating in any future initiatives.
